Recognizing the potential of India's food processing sector, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries has implemented measures to channel investments across the entire value chain, from backward linkages to logistics and retail.

To introduce the world to India's rich food culture and attract investments, the Ministry launched World Food India in 2017. Celebrating 2023 as the International Year of Millets, the second edition was held in 2023, bringing together the global food processing industry.
